Ana_Road Trip...

April 10 - April 28
Our last part of the trip we did a 3-week Road Trip around the US. We started in Luaghlin, Nevada; continued to the Grand Canyon; Roxwell, New Mexico; Dallas, Texas; drove by New Orleans; continued north to Mississippi; stopped by St. Louis on our way to Chicago. On our way back to the west coast we drove by Iowa, Nebraska, through Colorado and stopped in Zion and Bryse Canyon in Utah. Wanted to by Laughlin again to gamble a bit more but it was the River Run weekend for all the Harley Davidson riders in the area. The place was packed they estimated over 10,0000 bikers attended to this event. Crazy!

It was a good trip. On of the highlight was going back to Chicago. It brought a lot of good memories. We even went to the school and went back to memory lane and visited the library which is where Tim and I met. I know is cheesy but cute. That is where I turned all shades of red when Tim asked me where was the design section. And now seven years later we're married and happy together. We went to all our favorite places like Giordanno's for the best pizza ever, The Pancake House for some fluffy omelet and Uncle Julio's for the best frozen drink - "swirl" (frozen margarita and sangria). And even the bartender was nice to us. He didn't charge us for 4 of the drinks. We were so toasted by the time we left. Tim passed out on the train on our way to Robin's place my good friend from Chicago. It was so nice to see them and stay with them for couple of days.

On this trip we also got to see good friends of the family that moved to Dallas over two years ago Rich & Stacy and their two beautiful girls Jessica and Julia. We also stayed with them for few nights. Their new house is gorgeous.

We took our time traveling and just unwinding from the trip. It was so nice to understand everything and having everything so easily accessible. No language barriers, if were lost we could just ask, back to civilization. It felt like a vacation from the vacation. It was a nice way to end the travel chapter. Although I did do one last trip by myself to Nicaragua. But it felt different. It was more to see family. And I'm glad I did. It was nice to spend sometime with that side of the family by myself. I got spoiled left and right. I got treated like a queen. =)

Ana_Travel Adventure...

No more travel for now! We're officially done with our trip. We've been on the road in out of the US for 15 months. I can't believe we lasted that long. The trip was for sure an experience of a lifetime. It seems fake that we traveled all over.

I just got back from my last last trip in Nicaragua. I was visiting my dad and grandparents. Now I'm back having a hard time adjusting. Tim keeps telling to give myself time. I guess I want to get back into it quick. Crazy to believe that traveling became my life. Not knowing where we were going to sleep, meeting new people, not understanding the language, bargaining like a mad woman, discovering new things and eating out all the time was our life for over a year. That was our routine.=) Now looking for a job, finding a place to live, looking for a second car is weird and overwhelming.

Luckily Tim has some freelance work right now and at least we have some mula coming in. He keeps assuring me that we're fine and in no time we'll be back in the groove. One expression I keep repeating to myself is NEVER STOP EXPLORING...I keeps me inspire and excited about life. It doesn't have to be traveling but just trying new things and keep myself up to date with stuff like I'm learning Flash, a interactive program.

It does feel good to be back. Time to reflect, cherish and start a new chapter. =)
